Played by some of the best American musicians around today, this tour brought the swinging sounds of the Great Gatsby Jazz Age from America’s Roaring Twenties to countless audiences in China for the first time!
From high-profile commercial gigs reaching China’s young rising elite, to free concerts for underprivileged communities and students, the four-week tour took the band to 6 cities and 12 events in China reaching audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
Cynthia Sayer has performed in concert halls and festivals worldwide, including New York City's Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Opera, at the White House for U.S. Presidents, with The New York Philharmonic, and on numerous film and TV soundtracks including most recently Woody Allen’s 2014 release “Magic in the Moonlight.” She is inducted in the American Banjo Hall Of Fame.
“The Joyride Band” includes accordionist Charlie Giordano from Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band; drummer Larry Eagle who played on R&B/Soul artist John Legend’s Grammy-winning albums and has appeared in major American network TV shows including The Tonight Show, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and Good Morning America; Italy’s renowned string bassist Mauro Battisti; and violin and clarinet musician Dennis Lichtman, who recently was featured in The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.
