“Leonard Bernstein: His World through His Music” 2015 China Tour

About the Program

Leonard Bernstein (1918-1990) was America’s towering musician of the 20th Century – conductor, composer, pianist, and pioneering music educator. His diverse compositions – including musical theatre classic West Side Story – live on in the repertoires of concert halls, Broadway stages, opera houses, nightclubs, and musical venues of all kinds.

As part of our “American Cultural Center Tours” (ACCT) program, Ping Pong Productions brought son Alexander Bernstein on his premiere China tour May 8-19, 2015. Alexander explored his father’s musical legacy, brought to life through performances by singer Carla Dirlikov and pianist Justin Snyder.
