VOY in China
Following the successful premiere during the 2010 Sino-French Festival Croisements, French pianist/vocalist Veronique Truffot and Chinese choreographer/dancer Tao Ye of TAO Dance Theater return to Beijing for an encore performance.
About VOY
Artist's Statement
In the music of Veronique Truffot (composition, piano, vocals), emotion is at the heart of the composition. Words composing our language are replaced by an imaginary and emotional language, which tells a different story to each listener, thus respecting the area of freedom, intimacy and imagination of everyone. The dance of Tao Ye from TAO Dance Theater expresses these emotions bodily, both exploding with virtuosity and haunting with subtle nuance. It is music and movement of meetings, toward other, toward yourself.
